Multisector Trade Mision Saudi Arabia/UAE/Egypt | Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, UAE and Cairo, Egypt | December 5–15, 2026

The Illinois Office of Trade and Investment is recruiting interested Illinois companies to participate in the Great Lakes St. Lawrence Governors & Premiers multi-sector trade mission to Saudi Arabia, UAE and Egypt from December 5 – 15, 2026. Participants will receive a customized schedule of B2B meetings with prospective customers and business partners. Mission participants will also benefit from networking events and logistical support.

Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt are among the Middle East and North Africa region's leading commercial hubs, offering opportunities for U.S. exporters across industrial, infrastructure, energy, transportation, aerospace, agriculture, and technology sectors. Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona is the world's largest and most influential connectivity and mobile technology event, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, investors, and government representatives from more than 200 countries and territories.

The exhibition showcases the latest developments in artificial intelligence, 5G and 6G, IoT, cloud computing, cybersecurity, semiconductors, digital infrastructure, and enterprise technologies. Restaurants Canada | Toronto, Canada | March 7-9, 2027

Restaurants Canada is Canada's largest trade show in any sector with more than 1,300 exhibitor booths and is targeted at the food service industry, including restaurants, hotels and institutions. In 2026, this RC show drew over 25,000 hospitality and foodservice professionals over three days alongside 160+ culinary leaders, presenters and hospitality change makers, taking part in panels, keynote discussions and education sessions exploring the trends and ideas shaping the future of hospitality. Foodservice is a $125 billion dollar industry in Canada. 

At Restaurants Canada, Illinois companies joining our group trade mission will be exposed to all aspects of the foodservice industry in Canada with programming taking place across multiple stages, including the speaker stage, culinary stage, bar and beverage stage, pizza stage, coffee stage and a business hub.

Multisector Trade Mission Peru and ExpoMin Chile | Lima, Peru and Santiago, Chile | April 17–28, 2027

The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity’s Office of Trade and Investment will be leading a combined multi-sector matchmaking trip to Chile and Peru. Additionally, on this trade mission, Illinois companies in the mining sector will have the opportunity to exhibit at ExpoMin 2027 in Santiago, Chile.

With over 1,300 exhibitors and 83,000 visitors, ExpoMin is the most important trade show dedicated to the mining sector in Latin America. The 2025 version of this show is estimated to have generated over $1.6 billion in business opportunities.

Mining is not the only sector with opportunities in Chile and Peru for Illinois exporters. There are also opportunities in the industrial, medical, packaging, machinery and tools sectors. Therefore, we encourage companies outside of the mining sector to participate in the matchmaking component of this trade mission in Chile and Colombia.

Paris Airshow | Paris-Le Bourget, France | June 14–17, 2027

The Paris Air Show is the world's premier international aerospace and defense exhibition, attracting manufacturers, suppliers, airlines, government agencies, and industry leaders from around the globe.

The event provides a unique venue to showcase products and capabilities, strengthen supply chain relationships, and explore new business opportunities across the commercial aviation, defense, space, and advanced manufacturing sectors. By participating in the Illinois Pavilion, companies can connect with international customers, OEMs, suppliers, and key decision-makers while promoting Illinois' world-class aerospace ecosystem.
