Future Energy Job Act Multi-Cultural Grant Program

Diversity-focused community organizations that have a record of successfully delivering job training.

Application Deadline: July 1, 2025: The Multi-Cultural Jobs Program supports community-based, diversity focused organizations that strive to provide participants with development, economic or career-related opportunities within the clean energy sector. Grants will support services the Economic Development Regions that are environmental justice communities and/or underrepresented populations living in communities that are eligible to receive workforce services.

Solar Pipeline Training Program

Organizations that demonstrate capacity to provide participants with individual development, economic, and/or career-related opportunities focused on solar energy jobs.

Application Deadline: July 1, 2025: The Solar Training Pipeline Program aims to create a diverse pool of talented solar installers ready to fill solar energy related jobs.

Illinois Clean Jobs Workforce Network Program Community-based organizations, including community colleges, nonprofits, and local governments

Application Deadline:
July 14, 2025

The Illinois Clean Jobs Workforce Network Program will identify a network of at least 13 Illinois Clean Jobs Program delivery hub sites (“Workforce Hubs”) throughout the State to recruit and provide clean energy and related workforce training to jobseekers.

Illinois Energy Transition Navigator Program Community-based providers, including not-for-profit organizations

Application Deadline:
July 14, 2025

The Energy Transition Navigators Program will provide outreach and recruitment for the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) workforce and contractor programs.

Open Regions: Champaign, Decatur, Kankakee

Returning Resident Clean Jobs Training Program Community-based organizations, including community colleges, nonprofits, and local governments This CEJA Workforce program NOFO is currently closed. Community Solar Energy Sovereignty Grant Program Community-based organizations, qualifying public entities, and technical service providers working in direct partnership with community-based organizations. 

This CEJA workforce program NOFO is currently closed. The next round NOFO release for the Community Solar Energy Sovereignty Program will be coming in Spring 2025.

Clean Energy Primes Contractor Accelerator Program Organizations with experience related to program elements and capacity to deliver program services.  Application Link.  Applications will be accepted through August 1, 2024.
Clean Energy Contractor Incubator Program Community-based organizations, including nonprofit organizations, and accredited public colleges or universities, with demonstrated history and effectiveness in serving program-eligible populations in one or more of the Program Delivery Areas. Application link
The Department is currently accepting applications from the following Hub locations/areas: Waukegan, Champaign, Danville, Carbondale, East St. Louis, and Alton.  Applications will be accepted through August 5, 2024.
Equitable Energy Future Grant Program The Equitable Energy Future Grant Program funding is intended to address barriers to project, community, and business development in justice-impacted communities caused by a lack of available capital.

This CEJA workforce program NOFO is currently closed. The next round NOFO release for the Equitable Energy Future Grant Program will be coming in Spring 2025.
